The Fax

Clocking up almost 3 years together on the planet, BULL MASTIF are set to make 1999 their year. Last years cassette/CD EP "STAND" was well received by print, radio, television, and on-line. Recorded at MOTHERSHIP SOUND in Toronto (co-owned by Jag Tanna / I Mother Earth), the release was supported by performances to hundreds of greatly receptive across southern Ontario.

January 1999 saw the band enter the legendary SIGNAL TO NOISE studio (Scratching Post, Dee Dee Ramone, Hayden) with Juno/Gold & Platinum award winning producer Walter Sobczak (Raggadeath, Monster Voodoo Machine, Barenaked Ladies) on board to record "FULL THROTTLE", the full length follow-up to "STAND". Mixing was done at PHASE ONE studios (KISS, The Tragically Hip, Big Sugar), for a late May release. Due to unfortunate circumstances, NOT band differences, Steve Sydor (BULL MASTIF'S incredibly talented and repeatedly naked bass player) had to leave the band a little after the CD was released. Re-construction was done internally and one of our guitar players, Adam Slater, steped up to fill the void. BULL MASTIF is now out touring Ontario, proving once again they can rock any room without missing a beat no matter what the instrumental format.

Biography

Well, yes we could write a typical biography with histories on the band members, places of origin, their astrological signs, yadda yadda yadda. Or rather we could let the people speak for themselves:

"You guys are insane!" - Vito /Fan

"Bull Mastif is definately a band to keep an eye on in the future..." - Uptown Magazine

"I was sleeping upstairs, but the bartender said you rocked." - Craig / Lee's Palace

"We could have the next big Canadian band right here in front of us!" - Georgian Eye

"Was your guitar plugged in?" - Bruce / I Mother Earth

"My Robbie sounded so good." - Drummer's Mom

"Rock 'n Roll never felt so good...an inspired blend of classic and new rock..." - The Chronical Herald (Halifax)
